The City of Conway is soliciting qualified sealed proposals from qualified electrical contractors to do the following work and conditions which should include, but not be limited to:
The Contractor will be responsible for following all applicable City ordinances, federal, state, and county laws and regulation.The contractor and surety shall indemnify, defend, and save harmless the city, all ofits officers, representatives, agents and employees against any claim or liability arising from or based onthe violation of any such laws, regulations, ordinances, order or decree whether by itself or its employees. The successful bidder will coordinate with Santee Cooper, the underground conversion contractor and property owners.The time limit for converting the meter change over is no more than 30 daysn after the underground conversion contractor andSantee Cooper have completed their conversions. The Contractor will be responsible for following all applicable City ordinances and all work performed will be according to the applicable National Electrical codes. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal of the existing meter and the installation of the new meter and disconnects. Will install new PVC conduit from left side of meter base to ground level. Install disconnects at each upgrade if one is not present, reconnect loads, and arrange for inspection by City of Conway Code Enforcement. The electrician will need to coordinate with Santee Cooper and the business/residence owner to avoid any problems due to power outage. The Contractor will be responsible for the repair of any holes left as a result of the removal of those masts that extend through the roof and soffit. The contractor is not responsible for additional repairs due to wood rot or owner neglect. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits that are required for these projects.
