K Line Northern Extension Project (formerly the Crenshaw Northern Extension) Plans call for a proposed extension by connecting the Crenshaw District, Mid-City, West Hollywood and Hollywood. As of December 8, 2025, this project is currently in Environmental review. Information regarding a design team and a general contractor is not available. Per the city website, Construction funding becomes available in 2041, with the extension anticipated to open for service between 2047 and 2049. *This project is included in the initial compilation of projects for consideration in Metro's Mobility Concept Plan in relation to the 2028 Olympics.
