This proposal includes furnishing and applying all materials and to do all work in accordance with the Contract and the 2018 edition, Minnesota Department of Transportation "Standard Specifications for Construction," Spec. #2131 as modified or altered in the following special provisions. Furnish and apply Calcium Chloride or Magnesium Chloride solution of dust treatment on approximately 150 segments of aggregate surfaced roads in Sibley County. Materials: Material shall meet Mn/DOT specifications for 3911 Calcium Chloride or 3912 Magnesium Chloride. Basis of Award: The basis of award will be based on an estimate 10,000 gallons to 30,000 gallons of Calcium Chloride Solution at 38% (by weight) concentration or Magnesium Chloride solution at 32% (by weight) concentration. Certification for percentage of chloride solution will be required from the contractor at the time of delivery. Chloride application shall start as determined by the Engineer and all work shall be completed by June 20, 2022 for the first application and by August 25, 2022 unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. The Contractor shall provide a 10 day notice prior to commencing work.
