With its 25 primary schools, 3 secondary schools, a general adult education center (4 buildings) and a vocational training center (3 buildings), and a budget of nearly 78 million dollars, the SCHOOL SERVICES CENTER contributes to the development of its region while favoring about thirty partnerships favorable to the development of young people and education. Administrative structure of the unit responsible for the mandate Within the framework of this mandate, the project managers will report directly to the manager of the Material Resources Department. Description of the mandate The Center de services scolaire de la Riveraine wishes to obtain the services of two project managers to ensure the management and follow-up of maintenance projects for its buildings, at all stages, from the preliminary project to at commissioning. The nature and scope of the projects concerned is variable and may include: Repair of roofs, windows and exterior coverings; Repair of parking lots, loading docks and schoolyards; Repair of floors, walls, ceilings, lighting and washrooms; Repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; Construction of new buildings or expansion of existing buildings; Other mandates related to the activities of the material resources department. Description of tasks As part of the management of the projects entrusted to it, the main responsibilities and functions of the resource provided by the service provider are as follows: Assist the personnel of the Material Resources Service and the managers of establishments in defining the need and in managing the maintenance work of the buildings; Ensure communications with external professional firms and contractors regarding required record drawings, stage drawings, as-built drawings and any other relevant documentation; Participate in start-up meetings, site visits, site meetings and commissioning to represent the service center; Check plans and specifications, tender documents, choice of materials, colors and accessories; Perform periodic site visits and participate in the approval and monitoring of changes; Assist in the control and monitoring of budgets, schedules and contracts with professionals and contractors; Carry out on-site measurements and verifications of existing facilities and carry out the ad hoc surveys to be done; Classify drawings, correspondence, project and archival documents related to buildings (both in their paper and digital version); Update information related to assets and capital projects in the centralized management system. Profile sought Training The proposed resources must at least hold a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering. OR hold a college diploma in architectural technology, building (mechanical) engineering technology, civil engineering technology Experience The proposed resources must have at least three (3) years of experience in the field of construction, including one (1) year of experience in project management in this field. Know-how and know-how The resources sought must: - Know the laws, regulations, standards, codes and practices related to construction; - Be able to read and understand specifications, drawings and documents related to construction; - Ability to communicate easily in French both orally and in writing; - Demonstrate autonomy, team spirit and a keen sense of organization; - Have a neat appearance and a polite and respectful attitude; - Demonstrate attention to detail and rigor in file management.
