Site work, paving and new construction of an industrial development in Amarillo, Texas. Design plans call for the construction of a 77,000-square-foot, 14-cell industrial development; 3,800-square-foot industrial development; 13,200-square-foot, six-cell industrial development; 3,200-square-foot industrial development; and 1,300-square-foot industrial development.
Plans call for the construction of The High Explosive Science and Engineering (HESE) facility, formerly planned as the High Explosive, Synthesis, Formulation and Production (HESFP) facility, is a five building, 98,500-square-foot complex at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. It replaces aging World War II-era buildings to provide modern infrastructure for the nation’s nuclear deterrent. As of May 21, 2026, this project is still in design and is likely in detailed engineering design, identifying process flow development for explosive synthesis and formulation and integration planning with existing Pantex operations.
