Project overview: The project involves of the removal of all trees and brush in a 5.4-acre project site except those trees marked to be protected. Those trees marked to be protected in the plans will receive tree protection fencing. All stumps within the project site, both existing and those created by tree removal, will be ground. There is one area noted on the plans where stump grinding will be omitted. In this area the trees will be removed, and stumps left in place. Any burn pile locations must be approved by the Project Representative. Questions shall be directed to Karen Gray at kgray@dupageforest.org or 630-933-7237. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. No late bids will be accepted. Consideration of contract award will likely be made on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. The Forest Preserve Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
