Renovation of an educational facility in Gainesville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The intention of this Contract is that an Electrical Contractor will act as the Prime Contractor. No work shall be performed that is disruptive to the normal operation of the school during school hours. The intent is for the internal portion of this work to be performed over the school summer break, while school is not in session. Within the sealed proposal, the Contractor shall provide the Owner and Architect with the following: Completed GMP Form; to include General Conditions/ Reimbursables, Subcontractor Packages, Construction Schedule and Guaranteed Delivery Date. It is the Prime Contractor responsibility to ensure that all sub contract pricing provided are inclusive of all Drawings, Specifications and Addenda. All bidders must submit AIA Document A305 Contractor Qualifications Statement to be evaluated by the Owner and Architect prior to being issued plans and specifications. Submit A305 to biddocs@lpbatlanta.com. Bidders who do not submit the A305 Statement will be subject to disqualification. The A305 must show the Contractor's ability to complete the Contract in a satisfactory manner on projects of similar scope and complexity. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified. Any bidder may be required, at the discretion of the Owner, to furnish evidence satisfactory to the Owner that his proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work called for to assure completion of the contract in a satisfactory manner. Any bidder that is disqualified may respond to the Owner in writing within 20 days of the Notice of Disqualification as to why the bidder feels that the disqualification is unfounded. The written appeal from the disqualified bidder will not change the decision already made on this project. However, a favorable appeal may open the way for the bidder in question to bid on future Hall County Public School System projects. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract Sum will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds are to be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of the Treasury Circular 570" and have an A.M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A", with a Financial Size of VI or better. Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Time is of the essence to the Contract performance. Notice to Proceed will be issued after the Pre-Construction Meeting as soon as all required paper work such as Contracts, Bonds, Insurance, etc. are in order. Contractor shall mobilize within ten (10) days of Notice to Proceed. Work to start May 25, 2022 and must be substantially complete July 22, 2022. The Owner will make payments to the successful Contractor upon receipt of requests for payments, having been certified by the Architect, as fully covered and shown in the plans and specifications. Retainage as prescribed in the specifications and General Conditions of the Contract will be withheld. The above description is an advertisement for the submission of bids which are to be considered as offers for performance of work by the submitting party. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
