Renovation of a multi-residential development in Saint Paul, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

**As of May 10, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be according to paragraph 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The project generally consists of removing existing asphalt shingle roofing and underlayment down to existing plywood roof sheathing on eight (8) apartment buildings and one (1) Office / Maintenance Building at Clinchview Apartments, St. Paul, VA and one (1) Office / Maintenance Building at Litchfield Manor Apartments, Coeburn, VA. The work includes replacing any damaged or decayed roof sheathing. Furnish and install new fiberglass asphalt shingle roofing with new underlayment and metal flashing. Existing guttering and downspouts shall remain and shall be protected. The Contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis. The Contractor shall also provide Liability Insurance coverage. The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: The Lane Group, Inc. Abingdon Office Wise County Redevelopment and Housing Authority Coeburn, Virginia AGC of Tri-Cities Blountville, Tennessee Builders Exchange Association Knoxville, Tennessee Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above. Digital Copies of the Contract Documents are also available on DVD for $50.00. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM., beginning at the Clinchview Apartment site located at 3311 Third Avenue, St. Paul, VA 24283. All bidders are requested to be present. Attending the conference is not mandatory. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor." If a contract is seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) or more but less than one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000), the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class B Contractor." The bidder shall place on the outside of the envelope containing the bid and shall place in the bid over his signature whichever of the following notations is appropriate You are hereby notified to commence WORK in accordance with the Agreement dated Month 00, 2022 on or before Month 00, 2022, and you are to achieve Substantial Completion of the WORK in accordance with the construction documents within one-hundred and twenty (120) consecutive calendar daysthereafter. The date of Substantial Completion of all WORK shall therefore be, Month 00 2022 The project generally consists of removing existing asphalt shingle roof system down to the existing plywood roof sheathing and replacing with a new fiberglass asphalt shingle roof system complete with new underlayment and flashing on eight (8) apartment buildings and one (1) Office / Maintenance Building at Clinchview Apartments in St. Paul, VA and one (1) Office / Maintenance Building at Litchfield Manor Apartments in Coeburn, VA.. Existing buildings guttering and downspouts shall remain in place and be protected. Areas of existing roof sheathing discovered to be deteriorated after demolition of existing roof shingles shall be replaced on a unit price per square foot basis as designated on the Bid Form.
