Project No- 19-256, 18086.001 Sealed bids are invited for the Roof Structure Replacement at Millboro AHQ, located at 30904 Mountain Valley Road, Millboro Springs, Virginia . The project is generally described as the demolition and replacement of existing deteriorated roofing system and modifications to the existing walls. The work will include, but is not limited to demolition and removal of existing membrane roofing, substructure and roof member structural elements, replacement with new roof rafters, sheathing, membrane roofing, concrete wall extensions and related roofing systems and accessories and related repairs. Attendance shall be optional for those submitting a bid. This is not a mandatory project showing, however, potential bidders are encouraged to visit the site of the proposed work. The submission of a bid will be considered as conclusive evidence that the bidder has made such examination and/or is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered in performing the work. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive. (When bid bonds are requested, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bond.) Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019.
