The project consists of adding one (1) exterior mounted access ladder to the building and miscellaneous demolition and finish replacement, including but not limited to; roofing and metal stud work associated with the access ladder installation. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess at a minimum the following State of California Contractor License and Certification: A California Class A and or B contractor's license is required to Bid this contract. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. A bid bond by an admitted California surety insurer on the form provided by the District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. All participants shall meet at Modesto Junior College East Campus in front of the Performing Media Art Center (PAC) Building. The pre-bid conference is expected to take approximately one hour.
