Site Maintenance (Surface Rock) 4CN The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for project GAOA - Salmon River Road Corridor Rec. Site Maintenance (Surface Rock) 4CN located in Lemhi County, Idaho. The project is to surface with commercially sourced crushed aggregate, interior driveways and parking areas at six recreation sites along the Salmon River Road west of North Fork, Idaho. If funding is available at time of award the government may exercise an option to stockpile additional aggregate at a designated location near Cove Creek Boat ramp. This location is at approximate MP 28.2 along the Salmon River Road. Aggregate is specified as commercial source and the contractor may need to perform minor surface preparation such as removal of protruding rock and roadside vegetation prior to placement. Stockpiled Aggregate, if awarded, will be placed in a neat, compact stockpile. PROJECT LOCATION This project is located along Forest Road 60030 in Lemhi County, ID between North Fork, ID and the end of the road at milepost 46. All locations are located adjacent to the Salmon River Road. The road is characterized as having flat or moderate grades and generally good alignment. The first 16.8 miles are two lane paved. The next 11 miles are a 2 lane aggregate surface with the remaining road being variable width native surface. Aggregate and native surfaces are dust abated annually. Within the individual recreation sites, contractors can expect narrow travel-ways and tight corner radiuses that could be difficult to negotiate with longer trucks. Bridges at Panther Creek, Owl Creek and Colson Creek are single lane bridges. Summer temperatures are warm in the canyon and often approach 100 degrees. Contract Time To minimize potential conflicts with recreational use and high traffic volumes, the performance period for this contract shall be April 1 to May 15 The magnitude of proposed project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
