Site work for a water / sewer project in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose of this project is to install a new flow meter and initiate replacement of the raw water mains located in the City Park connecting the wells to the Park Water Treatment Plant. While the complete design extends east to Well 16 A and south to Well 8A as shown the full drawing set, the current scope is to begin construction at STA 0+00 and construct approximately 220 feet of new construction and tie back into the existing 24" raw water main as shown on the Attachment 4: Phase I -Re-alignment. Phase I includes installation of 24", and 16" water main totaling approximately 220 linear feet as well as installation of a meter vault, flow meter, control wiring, dry well, and appurtenances. Work shall be completed within 180 days of Notice to Proceed A. Water mains 1. Install raw water mains as shown on the plans without disrupting service to the existing wells, water treatment plant, or raw water mains. 2. Perform tie-in of proposed water main to existing water main. 3. Perform disinfection, bacteriological testing, and pressure testing of each water main prior to putting the water main in service. Follow procedures as outlined in these specifications.
