The project will be bid and awarded as One (1) Prime Contract. Work is generally described as follows; General Construction (GC): The contract includes temporary staging, water & power, draining & cleaning the existing lagoon, and processing & disposal of the lagoon sludge. The Owner requires the project to be substantially completed on or before September 30, 2022 and final completion on or before December 21, 2022. It is the policy of the Owner to encourage disadvantaged business enterprises, including minority and women business participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. Bids shall be submitted on the provided forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid must be accompanied by a security deposit in the amount of 5% of the Bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Contractor's bids are irrevocable for a period of (45) days after submission. In an effort to maintain all required regulations related to the health and safety of those involved please note the following safety precautions are required to attend the bid opening for AES Northeast Project No. 5023. All in person attendees who are not vaccinated against COVID-19, must wear a mask or face covering while in attendance and maintain 6 ft of space between themselves and other attendees. If you are not feeling well or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
