The City of Cave Springs will receive sealed bids for the construction of Murdock Road to Main Street (Hwy 112) 12-Inch Water Main. The project consists of Construction of approximately 15,000 linear feet of 12-Inch pressure PVC water main extending from the intersection of Highway 112 and Shores Avenue in Cave Springs, north to Pace Lane, west along Pace Lane to Roberts Rd, south to Phillips Cemetery Rd, west to Murdock Road, and south along Murdock Road to the intersection of Murdock Road and Soaring Hawk Road including new water interconnections, connections to existing items, fire hydrants, valves, fittings, appurtenances, other items shown on the Drawings or required in the Specifications, and related work as necessary to accommodate the project design. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City of Cave Springs in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. Also, the City of Cave Springs encourages all general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
