Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

In general, this work consists of installing a parallel storm sewer system which outfalls at 15410 Peermont Street to HCFCD channel B104-02-02, installing an emergency overflow swale at 15410 Peermont Street, relocating existing water line, replacing an existing backslope swale interceptor structure, installing a proposed backslope swale interceptor structure and grading backslope swale. Work items include: 1. Demolition and removal of all paving and debris including the existing concrete driveway and sidewalk and any remaining trees or landscaping on the property at 15410 Peermont Street. 2. Implementation, maintenance, and removal of storm water pollution prevention plan, traffic control plan and trench safety. 3. Installation of 8-inch AWWA C-900 water line by trenchless construction, including bends, fittings, valves and boxes, and fire hydrant assemblies inside of the ROW along Peermont Street. Contractor shall submit trenchless construction method prior to construction. Disinfection and testing shall be completed by the Contractor. 4. Abandonment of existing 8-inch water line including cutting, draining, and plugging existing water line. Existing fire hydrants that are removed are to be salvaged and returned to CLCWA. 5. Reconnection of the new 8-inch water line to the existing system by wet connection. 6. Installation of new 1-inch long-side and 3/4-inch short-side service leads to existing residential water meters using tapping saddle with stainless steel band, including Ford corporation valve and Ford ball valve curb stop, and connection of existing water meter(s) to new service taps. 7. Removal of existing 24-inch RCP storm sewer and installation of 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch RCP storm sewer. 8. Installation of 60-inch HDPE storm sewer outfall at 15410 Peermont Street with timber bent and rip rap in HCFCD B104-02-02. 9. Installation of Type "C" storm sewer manholes and a Type "C" storm sewer conflict manhole to accommodate existing 15-inch sanitary sewer line in steel casing. Where steel casing is connected to the manhole base or barrel, seal space between casing and manhole wall with assembly consisting of rubber gaskets or links mechanically compressed to form a watertight barrier. Assemblies: Press-Wedge, Res-Seal, Thunderline Link-Seal, or approved equal. 10. Removal of existing Type B-B storm inlets and replacement with Type C-2A storm inlets and Type C-2 storm inlet near the Peermont Street at Bradwell Drive intersection and replacement of existing Type B-B storm inlet covers with grate inlet covers. 11. Pipebursting 15-inch sanitary sewer pipe, including service reconnection by excavation, and installation of split steel casing sleeve along appropriate length required for proposed storm sewer conflict manhole. Contractor shall not cut into proposed sanitary sewer and no planned clamps shall be used around the conflict manhole. 12. Installation of concrete emergency overflow swale at 15410 Peermont Street including rip rap. Contractor shall utilize cement stabilized sand subgrade and provide joint plan as a submittal. 13. Installation of backslope swale interceptor structures, one in place of the existing urban interceptor structure to be removed and one proposed behind the lot at 15422 Peermont Street, both which include 24-inch HDPE outfall pipe and rip rap. Grading of backslope swales to drain properly to the interceptor structures including all necessary excavation, grading, and hauling. 14. Removal and replacement of concrete paving inside of Peermont Street right-of-way and concrete driveways where needed. 15. Removal and replacement of damaged concrete sidewalk per ADA standards, including ramps. 16. Removal and replacement of existing wood fencing with pressure treated 4"x4" posts embedded 36" deep with a 7-foot max spacing, 6-foot tall Western Red Cedar pickets with a 2"x6" rot board, and three pressure treated rails. 17. Turf establishment and site restoration including removing and replacing damaged turf, trees, plants, and shrubs, reconnecting and replacing yard drains, and placement of concrete curb and regrading natural ground for positive drainage where driveway was removed at 15410 Peermont Street. Sod placed shall match the existing cover. Hydromulch seeding shall be applied within the HCFCD ditch and shall match existing cover. It is the responsibility of the contractor bidding the project to ensure the accuracy of the reproduction of all bid documents and construction drawings. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, proper scaling, paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in errors in the unit bid quantities and/or bid amounts.
