As of April 19, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. This project is included City of Shawnee 2022-2032 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). A firm timeline for construction has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. This project is to do the design and construction work related to the replacement of an existing storm drainage structure under Gleason Road, approximately 750 feet south of 71st Street. This would provide for a new double-cell box culvert, widening of roadway at the new box culvert, grading, seeding and other related work. Consultants will be notified via e-Builder as soon as the proposals have been reviewed and the selection process is complete. The Contract shall be awarded by the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of the Shawnee Governing Body. Engineering Consulting Firms must have an office within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and be familiar with the City of Shawnee. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposal submittals and to waive informalities or irregularities of the submittals. The project will consist of the following: survey (not AIMS), floodplain modeling, traffic analysis and recommendations for street and storm improvements.
