Successful bidders shall agree to commence Work and complete the Work in accordance with the dates set forth in the Bidding Documents; Work to be complete May 31, 2022. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition with in thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. Roxbury Community College reserves the right to waive any and all informalities, the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or if fewer than three (3) bids received, and/or take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Awarding Authority. The Work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: work addressing floor/finish damage in multiple spaces at Media Arts Center/Building #1; the flooring, base, and finished walls in art rooms, support spaces, basement corridors and great room are all in need of replacement due to substantial wear and tear; improvements include flooring demo and replacement, wall patch/repair and paint to all surfaces. Spaces have already been tested for potential presence of hazardous materials and cleared. Deposits may be electronically paid or if by check, must be a certified or cashier's check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition with in thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00/set. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate certified/cashier's check for $40.00/set for UPS Ground (or $65.00/set for UPS Overnight), payable to BidDocsOnline, Inc., to cover mail handling costs. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders list will not be acceptedtor has 180 calendar days to complete construction.
