Award of the bid will be considered at a later meeting of the Woodstock City Council within at least 30 days of the date of receiving bids. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the City of Woodstock and/or the Illinois Department of Labor, or determined by a court on review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. The successful bidder shall comply with all requirements of the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, 30 ILCS 570/0.01. The City of Woodstock reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to select the bid that is considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Woodstock. This contract shall include all labor, equipment, materials and supplies for the removal of damaged, heaved, or sunken brick pavers, cleaning and salvaging of pavers where possible for re-use, preparation of subgrade, resetting of pavers either salvaged by the contractor or provided by the City, and all related restoration at designated locations in the downtown. This will include brick paver removal and replacement ranging from a single brick to areas of several square feet in size. The bid unit prices shall include all costs for supervision, bonds and insurance, administrative charges, labor, equipment, and material necessary to remove and replace brick pavers, traffic control and pedestrian protection, and final cleanup of each worksite.
