This Request For Proposal (RFP) is to establish a contract from qualified firm(s) to furnish all labor including supervision and inspection services, materials, supplies, & equipment for the removal of debris and damaged vegetation from neighboring farms to The University of Kentucky's College of Agriculture in Princeton, KY due to the tornado that devastated properties in December 2021. The debris and damaged vegetation removal are on approximately 30 acres of property along Sandlick Road in Princeton, KY (from 1171 Sandlick Rd to 1347 Sandlick Rd). Approximately 23 acres of land is wooded, and 7 acres is cleared land. Proposing firms should factor all necessary items in a detailed financial proposal, including but not limited to manpower, equipment needed, fuel, liability insurance, landfill fees, etc. Offerors should also include a date on when work can begin. Methods to be used for the removal and disposal of debris and damaged vegetation removal should be briefly described in proposals. The University would like to know how disposal of any possible hazardous waste would be handled, as well as plans on recycling and reuse of possible debris. The University sustainability strategic plan is where the University of Kentucky is looking at increasing reuse and reducing landfill waste.
