Project Location: Department of Veterans Affairs, 950 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516. Magnitude Of Construction: Between $100,000. and $150,000. Scope Of Work: The purpose of this project is to replace a section of the Buss Duct that has been deemed irreparable in Bldg. 1, Sub-Ground floor, because of its location. The Buss Duct is inside the drop ceiling and has been deemed inaccessible for ease of repair. The task order performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of written Notice to Proceed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Provide all materials andlabor to bypassthe existing faulty buss duct from LC7 (the buss duct is coming from LC1) to the elevator lobby where it splices with the existing riser(cables). o Period of performance shallbe 180 calendar daysfrom NTP. o All work shallbe scheduled to minimize impact to the HospitalOperation. o 60% percent of the work should be accountedfor the hours of 7:00 AM to4:30 PM on weekdays (Monday to Friday). 40 % of work may be accounted for off hours and/or weekends. o The bypassshall be a set of cablesin a 4" EMT (480V 600A 3PH). Voltage drop shall be considered in the cable gauge selection. o Meggerthe buss duct from LC1 Switchboard/breaker going into LC7. Ifthe buss duct is Good, terminate and install a cable tapbox inside LC7. See suggestedcable route. o Utilize the existing 4" underground conduit (spare)from LC7 to Building 1. See suggestedcable route drawing. o Verify that the suggestedcable/conduitroute in the drawing is clear of obstacles. The route includes Confined Space / Crawlspace. Ifnot clear,submit an alternate route and obtain approval to proceed. o The faulty buss duct run inside the hallway drop ceiling shallbe capped and abandoned in place. o All materials and installationmethods shall comply with National, Local, and VA Standards and Regulations. o The contractorshallsubmit all OSHA and VA Safety compliance documents and be approved to do suchwork before proceeding. o The contractorshall comply with the VA COVID regulations during the period of performance or until the completion of work
