Site work for a water / sewer project in Wareham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

If the Wareham Water District Building is closed due to weather or other emergency, the deadline for receipt of bids shall be extended until 1:00 PM local time on the next business day upon which the office is open for business. All Bids shall be submitted within a sealed envelope addressed to the "Board of Water Commissioners Wareham Fire District Water Department" and entitled "Bid for Contract No. 2022-1". The project consists of rehabilitation of the Bourne Hill and West Wareham steel water standpipes in Wareham, Massachusetts, which includes full coating system replacement on the interior and exterior surfaces of the tanks and other appurtenant work on tanks. Surface preparation requires full containment on the exterior, or if approved by the Owner, the use of a self-contained robotic steel grit abrasive machine with an isolated containment system or other approved containment systems. Bourne Hill rehabilitation is scheduled to take place in fall 2022 and West Wareham rehabilitation in spring of2023. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work contained in the Specifications. All employees that are to work on this project will have to have completed at least the 10-hour OSHA training on construction safety and health. Minimum Wage Rates (Heavy Construction) as determined by the Massachusetts Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development shall apply to the labor force on this project. The Bidder must be able to demonstrate that his/her firm has a minimum of five (5) years' experience with full containment systems, surface preparation and high performance recoating of at least five (5) similar sized or larger potable water tanks in New England Bidding Documents are available in electronic PDF file format and hard copy format staring February 17th, 2022. Hard copy documents may be obtained from the office of Haley Ward, Inc., 63 Great Road, Suite 200, Maynard, MA 01754, during normal business hours generally 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. local time, Monday through Friday, and may be reviewed at the office of the Board of Water Commissioners, Wareham Fire District Water Department, 2550 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, MA 02571 during normal business hours generally 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M All requests for mailing of Bidding Documents shall be accompanied by a separate, non-refundable handling and mailing fee in the amount of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) in cash or separate check made payable to Haley Ward, Inc. One (1) set of Bidding Documents will be furnished for the deposit and mailing fee stated. Contract payment will be by the lump sum price and/or unit price method as indicated on the Bid Form. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date designated above for the opening Bids for this Contract are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to accept any Bid deemed by them to be in the best interest of the Wareham Fire District, Water Department and to limit the extent of the work to keep within the limits of available funds.
