Prequalification No: RFPQ2020-046. The objective of this Bid Call is to hire a Contractor to upgrade, install, and commission a fully functional mass notification the Brampton Civic Centre to allow Security to make emergency announcements over the Fire Alarm speakers in emergencies that are not fire related. To provide all labour, material and equipment necessary for the installation of mass notification system at Civic Center. The goal of this project is to allow security services the ability to communicate non-fire emergencies (Active shooter, violent protest, etc) to building occupants without the need to be onsite. The system selected for this project is already deployed to operate the city's emergency buttons in the parking garages and ZUM stops. The product has also been deployed at other Ontario facilities in this type of application so we are able to reference their best practices and experiences. Substantial completion date September 22, 2022. award is subject to final approval.
