The Total Base Bid for each contractshall include all costsfor furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Contract Documents. The work to be bid upon is described as follows: Contract No. 1 - Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements This Contract consists of improvements to the existing Southern Jackson County PSD Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope of work includes: Site Grading with expanded Entrance, Liner for Lagoon #1, Survey of Lagoon #1, Plant Pump Station Rehabilitation, Wet Weather Storage Pump Station, Septage Receiving Station, Influent Screen with Vault, Existing Blower Rehabilitation, Storage Building, Blower Building, Membrane/UV Disinfection Building, Chemical Feed System, Ultraviolet Disinfection System, Effluent Flow Meter and Vault, Outfall Pipe, Emergency Power Generator with Automatic Transfer Switch, 3-Phase Power Drop, Electrical Controls, SCADA System, and other miscellaneous items as identified in the Contract Documents. This Contract also includes the installation and start-up of the following Owner furnished equipment: A. Lagoon Aeration System, including 1. Blowers 2. Diffusers 3. In-Basin Piping B. Lagoon Baffle C. Polishing Reactor D. Lagoon Cover E. Tertiary Membrane Filtration System This Contract also includes the following Additive Alternates: A. Collection System Pump Station Flow Meters B. Lagoon #2 Liner C. Asphalt Overlay and Pavement Striping Construction time limit for Contract No. 1 is 540 calendar days. All questions must be submitted in writing by 4:00 PM, on March 8, 2022, to allow for addenda, if needed. No questions after such date will be answered. Bidsshall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid to ensure the execution of the contract for which the Bid is made. In the case the Bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond shall be returned to the Bidder, but if the Bid is accepted and the Bidder refuses or neglects to enter into a Contract with Southern Jackson County Public Service District within fifteen (15) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his Bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to Southern Jackson County Public Service District asliquidated damagesfor the failure to do so. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Southern Jackson County Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. All questions must be received by 5:00 PM on March 22, 2022.
