This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the qualified Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum. The selected Proponent will be required to provide the necessary maintenance services to carry out the maintenance of the elevating devices to a level that ensures the infrastructure meets all codes, legislative and licensing requirements and any other governing bodies for the elevators and escalators listed in Section 10 of the SOW. Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise. The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFP documents. This procurement is subject to: Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement Chapter 10 of Canada-Ukraine Free trade agreement Chapter 14 of Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement Chapter 14 of Canada - Peru Free Trade Agreement Chapter 16 Canada-Panama Free trade agreement Chapter 17 of Canada-Honduras Free Trade Agreement The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) The World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP) The Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement It is anticipated that the contract will be in place for a duration of three (3) years from the date of award. If mutually agreeable between the selected Proponent and the Museum, this Contract may be extended for up to one (1) additional three-year period, followed by one (1) additional four-year period with the same terms and conditions. Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents. The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement. Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
