The District of Squamish is requesting proposals for the development and installation of the "Squamish Story" Exhibit at the Squamish Adventure Centre. This installation will be a new feature of the Squamish Adventure Centre following its 2022 renovation and is funded through the Province's Tourism Dependent Communities Fund. Telling the story of Squamish and surrounding area in approximately one thousand square feet of space, through the lenses of place and people, visitors to the building will be able to peruse the exhibit freely. It will provide context to the community while giving a solid foundation on which to present the tourism experiences available. While the main exhibit space is approximately 1,000 square feet, we are looking for an integrated design and floor plan that includes several additional areas of the building including the theatre, visitor centre, retail space, public corridors and washroom facilities. TIMELINE: A full-service design and exhibit development firm with expertise in project management, interpretive content development, museum exhibit design, production, and installation has been awarded for the project.
