Friday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM The City of Salem, Massachusetts, Engineering Department is seeking to engage the services of Professional Engineering consulting firms with capabilities in various civil engineering disciplines including, but not limited to: Wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment;
Storm water collection, conveyance and treatment;
Water distribution and treatment;
Land survey and plan preparation;
Structural design and review;
Transportation improvements; traffic signal installation and improvements;
MCP related advice including "difficult to manage wastes";
Seawall/bulkhead rehabilitation;
Owners Project Manager (OPM) Services
Private site development and/or subdivision review
City Board/Commission project review; and
City Board/Commission project submission peer review The City of Salem will pre-qualify multiple civil engineering firms with various backgrounds and areas of expertise by way of this RFP. Hourly rates for all members of the participating firms whom are selected will be negotiated. Those rates will be applicable throughout the duration of the Contract, including any extensions the City elects to award. At any point in time throughout the duration of this Contract, the City of Salem reserves the right to ask multiple firms for quotes for a particular Task Order or project. The City will then elect to award the Contract for that particular Task Order to the firm it feels provides the City with the quote that is in the City's best interest. Any contract that may result from the procurement shall be subject to the approval of the Mayor of the City of Salem. Written responses will be mailed to all bidders on record as having picked up the RFP. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
