This Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) is an invitation by the University of Western Ontario (Western) to qualify prospective General Contractors for a Vendor of Record (VOR) program for eligibility to provide General Contractor Services, as required, and as further described in Part 2 - The Deliverables (the Deliverables) for the duration of the Qualification Period. The RFSQ will be used to establish a list of qualified General Contractors for a VOR program for future General Contracting Services. The number of General Contractors that may be qualified is expected to depend on the quality and quantity of the submissions. The VOR program will be based on dollar thresholds as defined by Western's policy. The policy identifies the minimum number of bids in second stage competitions and are listed in section 2.2. Once the program is established, Western intends to award projects that fall within specific dollar thresholds using second stage competitions, on "an as needed or as required basis".
