Renovation of an educational facility in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project involves the replacement of exterior curtainwall systems, doors and frames, insulated panels along with any and all associated work required for the successful completion of the replacements. Failure to sign the Bid Bond by either the Surety or the Principal shall be deemed cause for disqualification of the bid. All bids must be submitted, in duplicate, on the Bid Forms provided in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the bidder. The Bid must be delivered to the Old Bridge Township Board of Education at the address listed prior to the opening of the Bids. Bidders must comply with applicable statutory requirements contained in the Contract Documents including the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et. seq. pertaining to "Public Schools Contract Laws". This bid solicitation is made in a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19A:44A-20.4 et. seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et. seq. and NJAC 17:27, and all other requirements as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee, as required by N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond made payable to the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, for the bid submitted. The Bid shall also contain a Consent of Surety agreement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, with Power of Attorney under which the surety company agrees to provide a performance and payment bond for the full amount of the bid price if the contract is awarded to its principal. All bids shall be irrevocable and shall not be subject to withdrawal for any reason for a period of sixty days (60) following the date fixed for the opening thereof. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A:-27, bidders for contracts exceeding the bid threshold must be prequalified by the state of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction. Each bid must be accompanied by an affidavit so certifying if applicable. No person shall be qualified to bid on any public work contract with the board of education, the entire cost whereof will exceed $20,000.00, who has not submitted a statement, required by N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-28, within a period of one year preceding the date of opening of bids for such contract. Every bidder shall submit with his bid an affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted by him there has been no material adverse change in his qualification information except as set forth in said affidavit. Pursuant to P.L. 1999, Chapter 238, The Public Works Contractor Registration Act, effective April 11, 2000, Contractors performing public work are required to be registered with the Department of Labor and to possess a current certificate by said department indicating compliance with the act for work subject to the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.) Any sub-subcontractors utilized by subcontractors will have to be registered and validation will be the responsibility of the State. Subsubcontractor certificates are not required to be submitted with the bids. Bidder should be aware of the following statutes that represent "Truth in Contracting" laws: N.J.S.A. 2C:21-34, et seq. governs false claims and representations by bidders. It is a serious crime for the bidder to knowingly submit a false claim and/or knowingly make material misrepresentations. N.J.S.A. 2C:27-10 provides that a person commits a crime if said person offers a benefit to a public servant for an official act of performed or to be performed by a public servant, which is a violation of official duty. N.J.S.A. 2C:27-11 provides that a bidder commits a crime if said person, directly or indirectly, confers or agrees to confer any benefit not allowed by law to a public servant. Bidders should consult the statutes or legal counsel for further information Start: Unless otherwise instructed, begin construction tasks no earlier than June 22, 2022 Final Completion - no later than August 19, 2022
