Renovation of an educational facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of May 24, 2022 , the project has not been awarded. A timeline for the award is not yet established.** The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design and construction services is for the complete replacement of roofing systems at the Fine Arts Building and Anderson Center at Binghamton University. The original building was constructed in 1960 with the Anderson Center addition constructed in 1984 and comprises approximately 304,000 GSF. There are approximately 50 individual roof sections comprising the total roof area of approximately 163,000 sf. To support the roof work, some sections of metal panels and ribbon windows will need to be replaced, and some areas of masonry walls shall require repointing. All roof sections will likely need to be raised for the addition of insulation to meet code. Asbestos is presumed at counterflashings. Access to the building is limited and construction phasing will be critical. Consultants should emphasize their knowledge and experience in coordination and managing design projects for large roof replacement projects which included metal panels, windows, and masonry repointing. The base construction value is estimated to be $7,900,000. The Funds MWBE participation goals for this project are 15% MBE and 15% WBE The Funds SDVOB participation goal for this project is 6% SDV
