Qualified Pool Contractors are hereby invited to submit their credentials to pre-qualify for future pool life cycle replacement projects. It is the City's intent that up to four (4) top-ranked respondents will be pre-qualified to bid on future pool life cycle replacement projects. Background: The City of Mississauga owns and maintains approximately twenty (20) swimming pools with various age of build, located throughout the City. Most pools have 5-6 lanes and include adjacent therapy pools. Pool systems include, but are not limited to: - Dehumidification; - Heat exchange/recovery; - Water piping; - Chemical control/monitoring; - Filtration, etc. Most pools are located inside community centres, and will require life cycle repair/services to maintain optimum working operations. Objective: The City of Mississauga (the "City") has identified a need to pre-qualify pool contractors. It is the City's intent to establish a short-list of pre-qualified Pool contractors that will submit bids in future Requests for Tender (RFTs) or Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to complete pool life cycle replacement projects at various City swimming pools. Scope: The scope of work will include, but may not be limited to: - Providing services for the supply and installation/repair of pool systems/equipment including, water pipes, deck tiles, pool filters, pump systems, etc. - Testing, commissioning and training of all installed pool equipment and accessories Pre-Qualification Term: Those Bidders who are pre-qualified through this RFPQ will remain on the list of the City's pre-qualified pool contractors for a period of three (3) years.
