Renovation of a water / sewer project in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Description and location of Project: This Contract provides for the installation of approximately 1400 linear feet of 10-inch sewer; 100 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer; 110 linear feet of bore & jack of 30" casing pipe with 10" carrier pipe under Paducah & Louisville Railroad; 15 sanitary manholes; tie to 60" RCP - 7 th Street Road Trunk Sewer; pavement restoration; erosion prevention and sediment control; decommissioning of one pump station (Rosa Terrace); and appurtenant work. The project is generally located between Dixie Highway and 7 th Street Road, south of Luken Drive and Rosa Terrace. All work shall be done in accordance to MSD's Standard Specifications. The Engineer's Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 This project is funded with funds provided by the Kentucky Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) with federal funds provided by the Environmental Protection Agency. SRF requirements (including American Iron and Steel and Federal DavisBacon Wage Rates) and provisions must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors. This procurement will be subject to Kentucky Division of Water Procurement Guidance. Bidders shall comply with 40 CFR 31.36 which includes but is not limited to the following: (1) the President's Executive Order 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended, which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin, (2) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (3) the Anti-Kickback Act, and (4) the Contract Work Hours Standards Act. Contracts and its Subcontractors shall comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, if applicable to the area of the Project. Bidder shall make positive efforts to use small, minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses If selected as applicable below, the Contractor must subcontract at least 18.0% of the total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified African American minority-owned businesses, at least 2.0% of the total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified Asian-Indian American minority-owned businesses, and at least 15.0% total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified Caucasian Female businesses. If the Contractor is unable to meet the goals, they must demonstrate adequate "GOOD FAITH EFFORTS" in accordance with the MSD Supplier Diversity Minority and Woman Business Enterprise Program Policy and Procedures Manual All inquiries and questions prior to the bid opening shall be directed, in writing, to MSD's Project Manager, Quinn Corcoran.
