The KCTCS-ECTC Construct Onsite Training Center - Phase 1 project will be bid and constructed utilizing the Construction Management as Constructor form of construction contract delivery. Trace Creek Construction will be the Construction Manager for the project under direct contract with DECA. The project is generally described as approximately 45,820 sq. ft. single story facility, with a mechanical mezzanine. The project is inclusive of a new training facility for KCTCS-ECTC in Glendale, KY, in partnership with the new Ford Manufacturing facility currently being constructed on the same campus. The project is to be completed in 186 calendar days. The bids shall be guaranteed for a period of thirty days and no bid may be withdrawn prior to the thirty-day period. The meeting link for the virtual bid opening will be published via addendum. The below bonding requirements shall only apply to Bid Package 001 Earthwork, Storm Drainage, & Erosion Control, Bid Package 002 General Trades (Phase 1), and Bid Package 003 Structural Steel. Bid Package 004 Electrical Equipment and Bid Package 005 Mechanical Equipment are not required to provide a bid bond, or a performance and payment bond. A 5% bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid including all alternates is required to be submitted with the official form of proposal. A 100% payment and performance bond shall be executed for the full contract value of the base bid and any alternates accepted. There will be no Owner Direct Purchase Orders utilized for this project. Prospective bidders shall include state sales tax for items in their bid. Bids will be received from Individual Trade Package Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the Individual Trade Bid Package as described herein. All phases of the work described and outlined within the Individual Trade Bid Packages will be completed by the successful Individual Trade Bid Package Contractor. Bids shall be submitted in the manner herein described and on the official proposal form included with the general conditions and specifications and shall be subject to all the conditions as set forth and described in the Bid Documents. Award shall be issued on the best value responsive bid by a responsible bidder as determined by Trace Creek and meeting all requirements of this solicitation. Plan purchase charges will be listed on the Lynn Imaging distribution website. Documents will be available for pickup/delivery after receipt of the specified payment by Lynn Imaging. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum bid shall not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeiture of bid bond.
