Renovation of an educational facility in Palm Harbor, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

PROJECT NUMBER: 21065 The Scope of Work to be performed under this project consists of furnishing of all labor/materials and performing all work necessary to the completion of the following: 1) Building 1, 2, 5, & 6: Remove electric strip heat from existing roof top unit(s) (RTU)serving classrooms. Provide a variable air volume (VAV) box with electric in each classroom and tie into existing ductwork system. Modify controls for system to function as a static pressure driven variable air volume system with electric reheat. 2) Building 8: Classrooms 08-002 and 08-003 shall follow the scope described above. Classrooms 08-003 and 08-004 are each served by their own unit; no VAV boxes are required. Remove electric strip heat from existing RTU(s) and provide duct mounted electric strip heat in the supply ductwork and modify controls to allow for dehumidification. 3) Building 4: Replace existing air handling unit (AHU) with a single zone variable volume system. Replace existing chilled water pipe from existing AHU up to and including shutoff valves. Replace existing duct mounted electric strip heater. Modify controls to accommodate the new unit's sequence of operations. This work shall be done as per plans and specifications provided by Consulting Engineering Associates, Inc.and MPS Engineering, Inc. The prime Contractor shall be a Florida licensed Mechanical Contractor. NOTE: The Largo Administration Building is now a secured building effective December 1, 2015 and visitor procedures have changed. Inform the officer at the front desk that you have a bid to be delivered to the Purchasing Department. The officer will call Purchasing and someone from the department will come to the front desk to date and time stamp your bid and provide a receipt. This process may take several minutes, so please allow sufficient time when hand delivering a bid submittal. If you are not the prime Bidders but are attending on behalf of someone else, please make note of this when signing the attendance roster where indicated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but it is imperative that all information be disseminated in a public forum with all potential Bidders present to minimize confusion or misunderstandings. Additions or changes to the original bid documents resulting from this conference of a material nature, will be documented in the form of written addenda and distributed to all attendees. Please note that if you are late to this mandatory pre-bid conference you will not be eligible to sign the attendance roster and therefore may not submit a bid. You may still, however, attend the conference if you wish. The Contract Period shall commence for one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Prices and discounts shall remain firm forthis period and shall include ALL freight and handling charges
