Renovation of a water / sewer project in Oak Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Bid results posted via the online electronic bid service. In general, the improvements consist of removal of two horizontal split-case "Pit" pumps and motors, check valves, demolition of existing concrete equipment bases, and replacement with two new horizontal split-case pumps and check valves, in addition to rehabilitation of the two horizontal split-case "Chicago" pumps, removal of four existing variable frequency drives (VFD) located in the electrical room, replacement of existing electrical conductors between the VFDs and pump motors and replacement with four new VFDs along with miscellaneous items of work. The Village of Oak Park reserves the right to issue plans and specifications to only those contractors deemed qualified. No plans will be issued to prospective bidders after 4:00 P.M. on the working day preceding the opening of bids. The work to be performed pursuant to this Proposal is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.
