As of March 17, 2022, no bids were received for this project. A decision has not been made if the project will rebid. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Tazewell County Architectural Barriers Removal - Buildings located in Armington, Creve Coeur, Delavan, Hittle Township, Mackinaw, Mackinaw Township, Marquette Heights, Minier, Pekin, and rural Tremont. Bidders must submit with his or her bid the Certification of Bidder Regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and the Noncollusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder. A Bid Bond, certified check or negotiable government bonds of par value of 10% of the bid price is required. Contractors and all subcontractors, including lower-tier subcontractors, will be required to pay the wages for all laborers and mechanics as determined to be prevailing in the locality by the U. S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act. All work performed by laborers and mechanics is also subject to the Contract and Work Hours Safety Standards Act and the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, Executive Order 11246. Bidders are advised to review the requirements of the County Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Plan regarding subcontracting opportunities for minority-, women-owned and Section 3 businesses. The successful bidder must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) before submitting a bid. Each Bidder, including subcontractors and lower-tier subcontractors, must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to award of the contract.
