As of March 22, 2023, an architect has been selected for this project. A bid date for a general contractor has not been confirmed. A firm timeline of construction is unknown. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. The City of Fitchburg invites qualification submittals for renovations and modification to the Fitchburg Police Headquarters building located at 20 Elm St. Building modifications include but are not limited to Entrance & Lobby, Dispatch Area, Shift Command, Records. Exterior improvements include but are not limited to ADA improvements, Canopy Additions over walkways, Added Carport. Designer Fee Set Fee $50,000.00 Time Period for Completed Project 24 mos Set Fee is for Phase 1 Programming and Schematic Design. Continuation is subject to additional funding authorization. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
