Library Carpet Replacement - Remove and replace existing carpet on first floor of Oxford's Free Public Library located at 339 Main Street, Oxford, MA 01540. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The scope of work for the project will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. The work contemplated under this RFQ and described herein is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage law. Contractors shall make provisions in their quotation to pay their employees prevailing wages as detailed on the accompanying wage schedule in Appendix A. 2. Furnish and install approximately 4,850 square feet of new carpet tile. 3. Carpet material shall be Patcraft, 5K 24x24 carpet tile, color stretch or approved equal. 4. Remove and dispose of existing broadloom carpet, any/all underlayment material, prepare floors, and install new carpet tile. 5. Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of the removed carpet and all demo debris in accordance with pertinent Federal, State, and Local regulations. 6. Provide a dumpster on site for all trash and demo debris. 7. Leave existing large bookshelves in place and install new carpet tile around the shelving. 8. Small, moveable bookshelves, chairs, tables, and other furniture shall be moved as needed at the Contractor's expense. All small items, personal effects and computer related items will be moved by Oxford Library or Town staff. 9. Work to be done during normal working hours to the maximum extent feasible. Demo and removal of existing carpet and any/all underlayment shall be done during non-operating hours. 10. A Payment Bond of 50% of your bid price is required.
