ROCK CREEK PARK - PEIRCE MILL BARN FIRE PROTECTION AND SECURITY SYSTEMS This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Specific instructions on submitting responses will be contained in solicitation documents. A date and time for a site visit will be specified in the solicitation. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. This requirement is 100% total set-aside for HUBZONE small business as authorized by FAR 19.13. The contractor shall be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under the appropriate NAICS code: 236220; the size standard is $39.5 million and shall submit verification of their firms registration in the SAM database with their quote. The location where services will be performed: Rock Creek Park Historic Peirce Barn 2401 Tilden St. NW Washington, D.C. 20008 The Davis Bacon Act wage determinations for Washington, D.C. apply. This requirement will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under FAR Part 13. The RFP will result in a single firm fixed-price award from the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation once it is released. The solicitation package and documents WILL NOT be provided in paper hard copy format, but rather transmitted exclusively via www.beta.sam.gov. The solicitation, subsequent to this announcement, may be canceled at any time. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any quote preparation costs. The complete solicitation with attachments will be posted on or about March 4, 2022. This date is an estimate. The solicitation could be posted well after March 4, 2022. Description of Services: The contractor shall furnish and be responsible for all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, license, certificates, permits and any incidentals necessary to perform the installation of new fire protection and security systems. The work is detailed in the specifications and drawings that will be provided in solicitation. Rock Creek Park is soliciting proposals for single contractor that is capable of installing fire protection and security systems at the historic barn of the park. The work will include, but is not limited to installation of fire protection and security systems. Site Visit: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
