The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. 1.1. Description of Services/Introduction: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform full- service maintenance and repair services tailored to VTE at Travis Air Force Base (TAFB), CA. This work is defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) Part 5 and is to be performed on equipment from various manufacturers. Work shall be completed in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation of the VTE. The term "VTE" in this PWS includes all equipment listed in Technical Exhibits (TE's) #1 (e.g., freight and passenger elevators, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters). 1.2. Objectives: The objective of this contract is to provide complete and full preventive maintenance and repair services on VTE at TAFB. Preventive maintenance includes, but is not limited to, regular cleaning, all inspections, testing, routine service, and maintenance in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1, A17.2, A17.3, A17.5, A17.6, and A18.1 codes, and manufacturer's recommendations and requirements. All work not specifically mentioned, which is required to ensure that maintenance and repairs are complete and are within the intent of this contract, shall be performed without additional cost. Contractor shall perform, coordinate and complete the requirements of the contract in cooperation with any other Contractors or trades performing work at TAFB promptly and diligently as required by the standards of this contract. 1.3. Scope: Contractor shall provide required maintenance and servicing of equipment. Routine service shall consist of, but not limited to, examining, adjusting, cleaning, and lubricating the equipment. All lubrication frequencies and types of lubricants will meet manufacturer's specifications. The Contractor shall prepare and submit a report to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within five (5) business days of the service(s) performed along with all findings. The report shall identify each unit of equipment, the location, work performed, repairs needed, date of inspection/service, name of technician, and overall condition of the equipment. If repairs require work considered above routine maintenance work, the Contractor shall notify the COR for appropriate decision and action. 1.4. Period of Performance: The Period of Performance (POP) shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and four (4) Option Years of 12 months each.
