The combined sewer lining will consist of approximately 1,472 feet of 12-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), 150 feet of 12-inch vitrified clay pipe, 146 feet of 12-inch by 18-inch horizontal elliptical pipe, and 237 feet of 18-inch RCP. To complete the combined sewer rehabilitation, the Contractor is required to clean the sewers prior to lining and televise the sewers after lining. Contractor shall provide all required traffic control. Work is planned on State Highway 190, "East Capital Drive" and North Oakland Avenue, and only one lane of traffic shall be closed during lining work. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the Village of Shorewood equal to 5% of the largest possible total Bid. The successful Bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within 10 days after the Award shall cause the bid bond or check to be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages in accordance with Section 62.15(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes. A recommendation will be made to the Village Board at its meeting on March 21, 2022. Award will be made to the lowest and most responsible Bidder. The Village of Shorewood reserves the right to accept any Bid most advantageous to the Village, waive any technicality, or reject any or all Bids. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the Bid Opening date without the consent of the Village. Contractors MUST be Pre-Qualified prior to placing a Bid in accordance with Section 00 45 13. Submit prequalification information a minimum of 5 days prior to the Bid opening. All of the work of the Project, including full restoration shall be completed and ready for Final Payment in accordance with Section 2, Paragraph K. of the General Conditions on or before October 7, 2022.
