Site work for a civil project in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is requesting proposals from bidders to drill a test hole and construct at least one (1) solar powered stock well on the tableland south of Bignell Hill and water distribution system on the tableland and into a canyon in Lincoln County, Nebraska. To solicit contractor proposals and cost estimates to drill a test hole and construct at least one (1) solar powered stock well on the tableland south of Bignell Hill and water distribution system on the tableland and into a canyon in Lincoln County, Nebraska. The primary objective is to construct and develop the stock well and water distribution system to be utilized for seasonal grazing of Nebraska Forest Service (NFS) land in the southwest quarter of section 11 and the northwest quarter of section 14, township 12 north, range 29 west. The test hole and well is estimated to be up to 500-feet deep with a static water level around 300' and will have a 20-foot slotted screen. The distribution system is expected to keep three stock tanks supplied with water at the well and from pipelines of approximately 1100' and 1800' to the upper and lower pastures respectively. Pipeline flow may be supplied by gravity from an enclosed storage tank or other method proposed by the Service Provider. Attachment #1 below shows the approximate locations of the proposed well and tanks.
