Any questions from Bidders not presented orally at the pre-bid conference must be submitted in writing through email no later than 5:00 p.m. (Goshen, Indiana time) on Friday March 4, 2022. The construction includes excavation, grading, concrete installation, furnishing and installing stainless steel and HDPE pipe, electric, pump installation, and other necessary work associated with installing a new leachate tank. The bid package including detailed plans and specifications for this work are on file at the Elkhart County Landfill, 59530 County Road 7 South, Elkhart, Indiana 46517, and are available electronically by contacting the Elkhart County Landfill as noted below or via the website. Any and all inquiries concerning this project must be directed in writing to John Bowers, Elkhart County Landfill, 59530 CR 7, Elkhart, Indiana 46517, or email: JBowers@elkhartcounty.com . Proposals shall be submitted with Form No. 96 as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the title of the bid and the name and address of the bidder. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the Board of County Commissioners. Bids may be held up to sixty (60) days. Bids will be awarded subject to approved funding by the Elkhart County Council to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Terms and Conditions of this Notice to Bidders shall form part of the plans and specifications, and of the contract ultimately entered into with the successful bidder. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bidding and to reject any or all bids.
