The project generally consists of removing and replacing approximately 13,500 square feet of sidewalks in the City of Fairview, Oregon. All questions and answers from the meeting will be summarized and emailed to all plan holders. Any questions not answered at the meeting will be answered on the summary. This meeting is optional, and attendance is not required. It is expected and required that all Bidders visit the site prior to bidding. No bid shall be received or considered unless the Bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS Chapter 701.021. To be considered, bids must be completed on the bidding forms provided, in the manner prescribed in the bidding documents and accompanied by a 10% bid security in favor of the City of Fairview. Each bidder must indicate in the space provided on the Bid Form, whether they are a Resident or Non-Resident Bidder pursuant to ORS 279A.120. The Contract will be subject to regulations of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI). This is a public works contract subject to ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 and the federal prevailing wage rate as required under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C.276a). The Contractor shall commence no work under this contract until the Contractor and every subcontractor has a public works bond filed with the Construction Board in accordance with ORS 279C.830 and all other bonding and insurance requirements have been met and a Notice to Proceed has been issued. Contractors need not be licensed for asbestos handling per ORS 468A.720 to complete this project. The City of Fairview will investigate and determine the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the contract. In accordance with ORS 279B.100, The City reserves the right to cancel this procurement or reject any or all bids not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, may reject for good cause any and all bids upon a finding of the agency it is in the public interest to do so and may waive all informalities.
