Site work, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in Austin, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a 8,280-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Austin seeks to assess the feasibility of developing a new city hall or conversion of an existing site located at 85 E Main Street for use as City Hall offices, council chambers and community space. The scope of work shall be divided into two phases. Phase one will be planning /preliminary engineering report and second will consist of implementation/construction services. Renovate existing city hall located at 82 W Main Street (approximately 4,400 sq. ft.) to be ADA compliant, alleviate plumbing issues and expand city hall to accommodate more space. Renovate/expand on to existing church located at 85 E Main Street (approximately 3,880 sq. ft.) to accommodate a new city hall. Construct a new city hall on vacant land. Incorporate addition of a community center in existing or new city hall space The City of Austin now seeks to retain an architect/engineer to provide the following services: PLANNING (Preliminary Engineering Report) 1. Hold one group meeting with city officials to discuss their needs and overview of the planning process. 2. Assess the existing condition of the current city hall. 3. Document the need for a new facility. 4. Investigate alternatives of building a new facility 5.Prepare cost and functional analysis of the proposed options. 6. Prepare schematic designs and renderings for recommended alternative. 7. Prepare design development documents, update renderings as appropriate and obtain contractor's estimate of construction cost. 8. Assist in the preparation of documentation for submittal of the design development documentation for the Environmental The awarded contract will have a not to exceed clause that will limit the allowable fees charged in connection with these services through close out. The city is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The scope of work shall be divided into two phases. The contract is tentatively scheduled to be awarded by the City on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
