Resurfacing tennis courts at Thomas County Central High School Work must be completed between May 16, 2022, and July 8, 2022. Contractor Qualification: The successful bidder must have a minimum of ten years' experience building and resurfacing tennis courts and must be certified by the American Sports Builders Association as a tennis court builder. A minimum of five in-state references must be provided with the bid. Contractor qualifications and experience will be a primary consideration in the bid award. Resurface 8 tennis courts measuring approximately 60' x 120' each to include the following work:
Blow, scrape, and pressure clean courts as necessary. Cracks (approximately 1,800 linear feet) will be thoroughly cleaned and dried and then hand trawled with acrylic crack patch. (Bidder shall field verify lineal footage of cracks and bid based upon vendor's measurements. All cracks must be repaired.) Level "birdbaths" with acrylic deep patch. Apply one coat of black acrylic re-surfacer to entire courts. Apply three color court applications, two fortified with 80B silica sand and the final coat being the finish coat to the playing pads. Finish colors to be selected from the bidder's standard colors. Install two color coat applications to the out-of-bounds area. All court lines shall be primed and painted with textured line paint and marked in accordance with rules of the United States Lawn Tennis Association. h. Paint net posts and install new nets on all 8 courts Bidder shall include with bid packet specifications for all products to be used and related warranties. Furnish and install 9' custom VCP Windscreens with wind vents every 5' and on both ends of the 8 tennis courts. Include allowance for school colors and screen print of school mascot and logo on wind screens. Price to include all hardware and installation.
