Site work for a civil project in Clayton, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of April 29, 2022. The project has been awarded with the amount of $95,667. However, if they use HP alternative bid is $93,747. An existing culvert crossing Old US 441 (South Main Street) just south of Saber Lane was clogged with sediment during the March 2021 storm. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is funding replacement of this culvert since the storm event was declared a federal disaster. This project includes replacement of the existing culvert that is a 24-inch RCP on the inlet end and box culvert on the outlet. Apparently these two types of culverts have a transition at a blind junction that is unknown. This project will replace the existing pipes with a single 42-inch RCP that will connect directly from the existing inlet to the existing outlet, removing the bend in the existing configuration Bidder will substantially complete the Work within 60 calendar days ; final payment in accordance with the General Conditions within 75 days after the NTP.
