Regulatory Requirements: AIA Document A701, "Instructions to Bidders "2018 Edition shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. B. Project Identification: 2022 Roofing Upgrades 1. Project Locations: a. District Office Building - 6633 West 16th Street, Berwyn, Illinois 60402 b. Jefferson Elementary School - 7035West 16th Street, Berwyn, Illinois 60402 c. Lincoln Middle School - 6432 West 16th Street, Berwyn, Illinois 60402 d. Prairie Oak Elementary School - 1427 Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, Illinois 60402.Project consists of roof system replacement. F. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Roofing. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Construction Tentative Start Time: No sooner than June 6, 2022. Substantial Completion: August 5, 2022. Final Completion: August 12, 2022. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the Work rather than the entire amount.
