Renovation of a medical facility in Gilroy, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or a bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate of the bid price. The Contractor must possess a C17 Glazing License at the time the bid is submitted per Business and Professions Code 7028.15 Q & A deadline: Mar 16, 2022 8:00:00 PM . A. Repair to include but not limited to the following: o Isolate the work area from building employees and the public. Provide all necessary safety barriers, signage and traffic control devices deemed necessary to complete the project in a safe and orderly manner. o Remove the existing damaged panels from the structure and dispose of offsite. o Provide and install replacement tempered glass panel units, any necessary weather stripping, replacement gasketing and any metal or wooden trim needed to replace damaged or not reusable original materials. Provide any other labor or materials needed to restore the damaged glass in question to original condition. o Replacement glass and all other needed materials to be onsite or immediately obtainable before deconstruction of the damaged glazing begins. o The replacement glass panels and trim, when installed, will match the existing units as to be reasonably indistinguishable from the existing. Glass thickness, temper, lamination, and coating type to match the existing panels exactly. o Contractor is responsible for field measurements, verification of glass size, type, thickness, and manufacturer. A submittal detailing all the above to be provided to the SCC project manager for approval prior to ordering. o The manufacturer is Viracon and it looks like the color code is E2190 IGMA. Manufactured In Owatonna MN, County Approved equal must be provided. o Any building or traffic control permits needed to be obtained by the contractor. o Site to be left clean and free of construction debris. LIST OF WINDOW PANELS TO BE REPLACED: o Lobby window, first floor on the east side of the building. o Office window, first floor on the North side of the building. o Office window, first floor on the West side of the building. o Office window, first floor on the South side of the building, near shipping and receiving. B. The work consists of the mobilization and demobilization of Contractor's forces and equipment necessary for performing the work required under the contract. (a) Mobilization shall include all activities and associated costs for transportation of contractor's personnel, equipment, and operating supplies to the site; establishment of general facilities for the contractor's operations at the site. (b) Demobilization shall include all activities and costs for transportation of personnel, equipment, and supplies, not required or included in the contract from the site, including the disassembly, removal, and site cleanup of offices, buildings, and other facilities assembled on the site specifically for this contract. C. Contract shall made available a trained staff member(s) to provide technical advice, research and resolve equipment issues where applicable. D. All work schedules must be approved in writing by the County's Project Manager(s) prior to commencement of work. All work performed shall meet the latest revision of all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, laws, and codes. E. Unless otherwise specified, Contractor shall guarantee the labor and materials used are within the specified guidelines and recommendations of the manufacturer. F. Materials furnished shall be new and shall be of commercial quality material. Used, reconditioned, or discontinued models and materials are not acceptable. The warranty period for contractor provided materials shall be for a period of 1 year, or within the manufacture warranty, whichever is longer. Such warranty shall commence upon the date of acceptance of Contractor's work by the County. G. The County reserves the right to supply all or part of the materials or equipment on any project/repair. H. Contractor shall be responsible for the replacement of failed/defective equipment, and parts installed by Contractor that are under warranty. Such cost, if any, shall be incurred by Contractor. Contractor shall assume all liability for such defects. I. Follow up work required to correct recent repair/improper repair, or substandard parts shall be at no charge to the County.
