Bids will then be considered at the regular meeting held on march 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.M. At the fox hill firehouse no. 2, 50 second street, plains, pa 18702. All bids are to be sealed in an envelope clearly marked "Back up road salt bid" and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the township of plains. The successful bider will be required to guarantee delivery of a minimum of 100 tons, within 72 hours of notification. Any company that has been awarded the state costars contract for 2022-2023 is required to guarantee availability of road salt for the township or provide a secondary source for the township to acquire road salt at the same bid price.
