The prequalified Electrical contractor will act as the general contractor for each project for which they are the Successful Bidder. The University of Ottawa is looking to pre-qualify Electrical Contractors who will eventually be invited to bid on fourteen (14) separate Fire Alarm Replacement projects where the Successful Bidder(s) will be acting as a General Contractors in executing and coordinating the various project components and complexities extending beyond the electrical scope of work. The intent is to tender each project separately. Pending budget approval, the plan is to proceed with the construction phase of these fourteen (14) projects over the next four (4) fiscal years (2022/23 to 2025/26). Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
